Quick decision: worth restoring an old Gary Fisher Aquila

Hi there,

A guy on my block is selling his GF Aquila - he wants arond $70 for it.

Is it possible to do something nice with it? Could it become a "sweet ride"?

Can anyone quickly drop what year model it is?

Cheers a lot!

Thomas

I am not really familiar with the RB lingua so I do not really know how to respond to that last comment :) But thanks a bunch you other two - even if I am still at loss concerning the year model :)

Could it be a cool SS with a drop bar, or am I picturing something rather unfeasible here?

Probably better - judging by the bottom bracket height it looks more suited to life on the road?

Go for it mate - I've got my own GF running as a single-speed commuter, and I'm loving it.

Gary Fisher made some quality frames, and that is always the best base for a decent retro-bike!
