Looks great!

Are those Manitou's OK though?

In what respect? They seem to work OK, if a little short on travel, but there again I am used to a set of Recon Race forks with 100mm.

They just look a bit low, like they only have 20mm or so of travel....

I will have to strip them down, I guess that they may have been put back together with one of the 3 elastomers in the wrong place (working as a rebound elastomer). It's a long time since I took my old set apart or read the manual but I think I can remember the strip down and rebuild process.

Stripped them down and to my horror not only had they been put back together wrongly but they were fitted with some horrible little springs and only one original elastomer. As they were sold to me described with good elastomers I feel like I have been done. :x .
They may be in excellent condition physically but I now have to spend out to replace the elastomers.

NO way it's an official kit for the fork, the washers for a start are all mismatched and the small springs in the picture were fitted as rebound damping which shortened the travel to about 20mm. When fitted together the springs are too long as well. Shoudl I go back to the seller to ask for a contribution to the replacement elastomer kit I now need????
