We used to see this about 3 times a week in the shop.

Dad walks in with sons\daughters BSO. "It rides funny and is really twitchy" I used to sort it for free, on the spot, no waiting. They almost always came back when ideas upgrade time, or just got a new part of service etc.

I've fixed a few on the trails as well, often for adults on very shiny and much more up market rides than I'm on. Im afraid it's often a sign of a lack I knowledge as "it's just a bike" to most people.

Nice Kona. I'd be tempted as it doesn't look used much and I'd put money on it being a gift that "didn't ride right". Not needing a new bike right now is though.
