Picked up just the frameset from a local ad on the cheap this weekend. The rapid fires were busted, but I found a set of DX rapids in the bin at the local co-op for 3$! Polished her up a little, hung a NOS set of dx cantis, and I have a new rainy day bike!

Hahaha I agree about the push push!


Id love to mount my set of thumbies to it, but their mounts went to the much more adored xt's that I got there for the same price sans mounts. Might swap out the cantis for a dirtier set I have, I dont know if its got place on this bike.

New saddle and post,a little scrub, and a sunny day! Out for a ride on her to see what happens, and recall how much I hate rapid fire shifters!

Side note: Anybody have a spare set of the mounts for thumbies?

Not bad for 24 pounds eh!
