1998 Trek 930 Singletrack 22.5” (57cm) – Full Rebuild and Restoration
For sale, an excellent example of a classic 90s Trek mountain bike. In 1998 this would have been a top-of-the-line mountain bike, and has been restored with that in mind. When the bike came to me it was already in excellent condition, with all signs pointing to a low use, well maintained and cared for bike: clean grease in the parts, no deep chips in the paintwork, and oil in the forks!
Nevertheless, the bike has been completely rebuilt with care, and parts replaced where necessary. Highlights include:

I am 196cm and have the saddle at the height shown in the first pictures. the seatpost can still be extended to the minimum insertion so would fit a rider up to 198cm. Minimum height is probably somewhere around 180cm - I would recommend a test ride.
Bike has been newly built and ridden 20km for a test ride. I'm looking for €500 for the bike

- 1997 Marzocchi Bomber Z2, which still had factory Loctite on the bolts. The fork has been serviced with new seals and parts from Dr. Zocchi, and a fresh oil change.
- Brand new Panaracer Dart/Smoke tan wall tyre combo that elevates the look of the bike. Lightweight tyres that are fine on the streets but also ready for a new adventure off-road, down any side street or forest path.
- Shimano Deore DX V brakes in red with new Jagwire pads – stopping power is excellent and the rims show no signs of brake wear.
- Drivetrain is in excellent condition – the original chain was not stretched at all and other components are in excellent condition. Rust on the chain necessitated replacement with a brand new Shimano 8-Speed with Quick-link.
- Original matching Trek saddle and top cap.
- Deore XT derailleurs and Deore DX shifters.
- A deep clean.
- Headset and hub bearings hubs inspected and re- greased.
- Suspension seatpost has been disassembled and regreased.
- Brand new inner and outer cables for brakes and shifting, and set up.
- Two new inner tubes.
- Red Lizard Skins “Peaty” Lock On grips.
