PUCH (Bianchi) Theridion Retro 1991 Mountain Bike
In completely original condition with original tyres, grips and brake blocks. Was bought in 1991 as a 50th birthday present and has spent most of its life under a cover in a dry barn. In excellent working condition and was taken for a ride only last weekend. Has a decidedly retro black / purple / fluro pink colour scheme.
Was an incredibly expensive purchase back in 1991 - similar to high end Orange / Gary Fisher / Schwinn / GT bikes.
PUCH is a very old brand dating back to 1889 in Graz, Austria. Over the years the company made vehicles, motorbike and cycles with the company eventually being split and sold to Piaggio (who make the Vespa) and PUCH cycles were eventually taken over by Bianchi. A few examples of these frames are still about but there aren't that many in existence and so are pretty rare. A bit more information can be found here -

Spec is as follows:
Italian made PUCH triple triangle frame
ORIA tubing steel molibdeno (molybdenum)
Shimano Deore LX groupset with bio-pace cranks
Cantilever front brake, dual / centre pull rear caliper brake
Selle Italia saddle
Original PUCH drink bottle in cage
Original toe-clips with leather straps (not shown)
FiR Italia made rims
The frame is 43cm / 17 inches in size.
We are selling the bike as it doesn't get ridden much as we only have so much room in the garage (which is being taken up by the other four mountain bikes!). To get it back on the road recently one of the brake cables and one of the gear cables were replaced. Gears shift fine and there is very little wear on the chainset. Some areas have surface rust but would clean up with a wire brush / polish. The brake blocks are pretty old and hard and the tyres a bit perished but we wanted to keep them on to keep it 100% original. If you were going to ride this bike seriously (e.g retro category racing) these would probably need replacing but they are fine for normal use.
Its a great bike that rides well and will be sad to see it go.

Would be great to see it go to a retro-bike enthusiast.
