Can get a 2002 Proton Wira for £450 quid, 93k on the clock, looks in good overall condition, just wanna feel for peoples views??

In my experience they are generally pretty good as they are mostly rebadged Mitsubishi's. If you like them and you aren't bothered by badge then go for it.

My parents have a small hatchback (can't recall the model) and they love, never had any issues.

They are very expensive for parts. For example: If the suspension arms need replacing they are 2 to 3 times more expensive than the equivalent euro model. But cheap if you run cheapies all the time.

I have passed on it, cost more insurance and tax, im looking at micra's at the mo.
