Proflex k2 1000

Phew glad that sorted, i must say though Sylus is well respected and having dealt with him for several bike purchases face to face, and also advice via the web he has been nothing but helpful throughout.

I must admit i was a little confused by it all, but then thats not difficult to confuse me ;)

Anyway,

I like the Proflex's and as you know i am currently building 2, spares and parts permitting, its my first venture into full susser world.

In my opinion, keep both, but focus on the C16R :D then maybe venture into Full Susser teritory afterwards. If it is to much to keep the K2 then give it to me, simples ;)

either way, enjoy Retrobiking whatever pathway you take :)

Jussa :)

Sorry Barney but your'e wrong.

Richard asked wether he should sell it or not...I pointed out that the question seemed academic as he had already listed it days earlier on ebay for sale so answering his own question. I rarely, as I suspect most sellers do, list stuff on ebay I/they do not want to sell but hey some people maybe different.

Your'e right of course Richard there is no row to be had.

As to the proflex, the proflex's rather than the k2 versions tend to be more sought after in the u.k. and yours is a staple diet rather than something special.

I did have a proflex 957 for the briefest of times and for me personally the carbon front forks and carbon rear swing is what made that model worth having and something a bit special.

If you do decide to go through with the sale then models of that calibre come through regulary so should you regret it and want one again later then you would be able to do so easily. Just watch out for the shocks.

Agreed, this has been the area i am having most difficulty with, currently i have one rear spring with Elastomers, and one with a Coil Spring Conversion. I would love to have them running spot on, so its either an expensive shock purchase from the States $130 for Risse Racing Shock, or similar price for a Noleen version. either way a lot of cash to outlay. Loving the Proflex's and now both my C16R's are 99% done i am enjoying the next challenge :D

yeh i was after one really with the canitlever front shocks... dunno why.... and maybe not a good idea...but they just look v cool!!... and it seems the elastomers are available pretty cheap...same cant be said for the sprung shocks!!..thanks for the info...i think im goign to stick with getting rid, and as you say, maybe keep an eye out for what im really after!

and to end the original point - you hit the nail on the head - some peopel are different to you! - this doesnt however neccesarily make them wrong or bad... ;) case closed....

cheers again, im glad we can put this to bed - ive felt hugely welcome on here and there is an amazing amount of knowledge available from willing members - i want to hang around and get more involved as tiem goes on so want to make friends not enemies!!

on another topic - Im loving my c-16r thats def a keeper!!!!!
