1995 DJR Cyclocross

nice project, cant beat vintage steel frames with canti bosses. I have 3 now and with a quick change of wheels/tyres they can alternate between gravel, cx, light tourer and audax - since the surly cross check was retired, there is nothing comparable with slender steel tubes unless you go bespoke - so these framesets are to be cherished - good to see another one being rescued.

Yes!, I recently rebuilt a 1965 Roberts with cantis -which I love, so when I spotted this one, it was a no brainer!!

A bit more progress on this build. Waiting for the front derailleur braze-on adapter to arrive.

Almost got the stickers off the wheels, just a few stubborn ones remain

About to balance up the cantis - these are nicely made and the barrel adjuster is a great idea.

The Jitensha Bar didn't work so I have put this mtb bar on for now. It probably wont stay, but I actually quite like it.

This is quite a simple and straightforward build compared to some of my others and feels a bit odd , apart from the brakes and pedals it's been a parts bin build. So it's a turned out to be bit of a frankenbike.

My other current build is giving me loads of problems/challenges though, so balance in the universe is restored 😄

Love the cantis, choice items, the black theme also goes really well with the blue frame. MTB bar probably has too many logos and lettering but I am sure you are on the case with that, overall a very clean looking build, and not frankenbike at all
