Hi

Ive just picked up the below Proflex, and hope Ive got me a good buy - I know things are only worth what people will pay, and these old proflexs arent that sought after, but Ive always had a soft spot and this seems a goodun.... would like to know what its worth roughly...based on your opinions!

The bike is mine the frames unmarked... its been owned from new by one guy who paid 2600 for it back in 1996 and specced it as it stands today:

856 World Cup design Frame
Pro Carbon Girvin forks
Full XT Groupset
Middleburn (RS3?) chainset
Mavic 217 SUP Sunset rims (minor wear for age) with Middleburn Hubs
Flite Saddle

thats about it!

opinions welcome!!?

Re:

Looks good although front tyre seems to have very little tread.

If you paid 200-350 pounds, its a good deal.

I paid 100 for it.. It was advertised for 50! My conscience told me though I can't steal it so I gave him double cow I knew the wheels where good they're like new! Maybe foolish but I'd hope to be treated the same!

Plan.... Yeh give it a strip...the elastomers are the main problem... I have the Land Rover ones in now but they don't fit well..too small... So I've mailed powerflex hoping they have something of the right dimensions, else it's a U.S. Import at about sixty quid... Which I don't really wanna pay for crap suspension! And I don't want to put a spring in the back too...the front is far too soft... But I've had a ride and for a Proflex, it's not bad at all...weight isn't great by today's standards, but not bad for a usually weighty Proflex!
