Collected the powder coated springs yesterday and fitted everything together. I still need to paint the seat stays but fitted the rear unit anyway! I don't know if I will leave it on with the shock's rod being so badly pitted but funds won't allow a Noleen unit at the moment!
Does anyone know if it would be safe or advisable to cut down the stop attached to the front rod on the front shock? It must be there for a reason but at the moment it only leaves room for about an inch of travel.
As far as the forks go, I'm undecided whether to fit them. They're quite a bit shorter than the current forks and the bike is set up to not aggravate a lower back problem. I'm worried changing the geometry will bring a recurrence of my back problems - the last thing I want as it will stop me riding.
