presta valves are rubbish

BTW, I never use the threaded locknut, as AFAIK, these were made for the old 27 x 1 3/8 steel high pressure rims that needed something to clamp the valves against the thin single layer steel rim. Alloy rims with twin walls shouldn't need these. In fact, my Presta valves on my road bike don't have a threaded shaft.

frozen fingers, howlings winds making your eyes water constantly. wheel wobbling a tiny bit too much when you try to pump up with a tiny mini pump.

happens all too easily.

I'm happy with either, but most of my rims are drilled for presta, so thats what i use...

having said that, yeah sometimes the little valvey thing goes bung, but over the years the amount of schrader valves that i have had to replace the inner bit on... many... that and shrader+mud=poo

and the have had many ripe the schrader valve clean off... no patch kit will fix that...
