anybody here have any tips/pointers regarding posting a frame to the US?
I have interest in my 'Rafty Funnel' from Incorrigible (Frank) who would like me to ship it out to him.
looking so far though has not yielded much success, mostly due to my postcode being classed as Scotland (Highlands & Islands) which seems to give courier companies the right to charge more, even though Inverness is on a main trunk route the A9! I could understand maybe all the way up where Jamie lives at John o' Groats, or indeed one of the Islands off-shore, but for years now they've been taking the p*ss here!
anyway..... now i've got that off my chest...... has anyone posted a frame recently to the US, i will bubble wrap it to death and then clad in cardboard to keep it as small and as light as possible obviously, but who to use?
any help gratefully received! 8)
cheers!
Mike

Re:

2nding the use of foam pipe lagging. Protects and keeps the frame still in the box.

It also doesn't pop, once bubble wrap has popped, it's just a poly bag.

Peanuts also, the white ones. They allow protection and will last long enough to help the pipe insulation and do not weigh anything much in a frame size box.
