Post up your tenuous links to 'famous' people.

I was in a comic / music store in Boston about 15yrs ago and wondering why they kept playing Sleeper records non stop, turned to my american friend and said in a (very audible) English accent...

"why do they keep playing Sleeper records...Sleeper are shiiiiiit".

and then turned to see all of Sleeper lined up at a table signing albums and all looking at me and all looking annoyed.

Obviously not one to back down from a gauntlet thrown (even if thrown by myself) , I added (cos Louise Weener had lovely if slightly mental, but still lovely, eyes)...

"Do I have to buy a record to get your autograph?" She said "yes." I said "alright then, don't worry".

hmmm Dad was good friends with Stirling and Suzie Moss & and was school mates with Ronnie wood ...There is a load of art in the loft of Ronnies from when he was at school.

Apart from the numerous famous people meetings when working at Glastonbury over the years, (which aren't very tenuous) I've got these...

My brother used to throw stones and chant the "leader" song at Gary Glitter's house in Wedmore, Somerset when walking home from the pub pissed. That was before the revelations about his personal life. :)

My Sister went out with Gary from the band Reef

My Mrs bumped into Nasty nick from Eastenders in the services the other day and screamed

Keith Allen once drank in my brothers pub

Ian Brown slapped my other Brother around the head and told him to "chill out"

My sister's ex (a different one) was in an episode of "wycliffe" and an advert for Phones 4U

My mate runs a water ski school where Harry Enfield sends his kids during the summer

Another mate sold a hot tub to Rolf Harris

My Dad (RIP) sold a steam engine during the 80's that now belongs to Martin Scorsese. He wrote to him and MS said he could have a go on it if he was in America, (he never made it unfortunately)

My Godfather (RIP) once organised a charity fund raising event that involved a trip in a convoy of London Taxi's full of aid and painted like rainbows to the Sudan. Bob Hoskins went on the trip.

I once wore a hat that Anthony Hopkins had recently had on his head

My cousin was on Jim'll Fix it and therefore got to meet Jimmy Saville

I am going on honeymoon to the village where they filmed the scene in Casino Royale where Daniel craig is recouperating in a lakeside hospital.

I think that's it... :)

My Mums American Cousins Daughter , is Married To Ex President Jimmy Carter's Grandson, so distant i hardly think it counts.
