That is a worry, however I've been running a 577 with the 'Shark Fins' for 30 years. I've changed the rear mechs 3 times.
I suppose the secret is maintaining the drivetrain and changing the chain as often as. The cogs are pressed steel, so pretty hard wearing.

Good to know the cassettes are really durable. I've been trying to find a decent one for years. As that's not happened, I'm poised to pounce on your HG compatible body, if it ever becomes available!
