Possible Chain Reaction Cycles card fraud

My card (nothing to do with a CRC transaction) had been used to try and buy a mobile, something else that I don't remember and they also tried to spend a few PENCE with an Australian theatre.. I kid you not.

Been a lot of it going around for some months... some have been reported as following transactions with Amazon too..

There is no reason at all nowadays for your details to be at risk when making online purchases. The banks simply don't care enough to make their systems safe.

More legislation needed.

just happened to me also. CRC was on my last statement 10 days ago and since then fraudulant transactions have been made, mainly in pizzahut, I havent got my full statement through yet.
Also very sceptical about the indian guy I spoke to on the phone earlier.
Will call the credit card company back tomorrow to double check.

See.. I was contacted, on my mobile, on a Sunday, from a number I didn't recognise so left it to go to voicemail..

Indian woman on the message waffling on about card fraud etc. which, to be honest, all sounded like some kind of scam..

So I Googled the number and, while there were a couple of reports of it being fraudulent, there were loads confirming it as being from my banks fraud team so I rang them back and got it sorted..

Straight into my branch on Monday morning to double double check everything and it was totally genuine..

I bought some stuff from crc last week.....makes you wonder doesnt it...... :? sttement isnt due in til next week though........wait and see I guess... :roll:

Plenty of reports after having dealt with Amazon too..

I only use paypal with crc.. but had used my debit card with Amazon..

My bank cancelled my debit card due to it potentially being cloned.
That was two weeks ago, I only found out yesterday when I tried to use it.
Useless idiots.
It was mentioned that a large internet company had told banks to cancel any card that had been used there within a certain period.

I'd better check my statements!
