Posh Hotel/Spa close to Brecon or Afan trails

Anyone got a recommendation for a posh Hotel Spa type place close to any of the Brecon or Afan trails...

The wife wants to be pampered and I want to ride.....nothing overly knarly..as she will want to come out to I suspect.

Budget ( for 2 nights ) is around £300 inc.

Its money I wold have spent on our trip to see the Kings of Leon in Hyde park....thats before i realised I had been scammed by Hydeparkconcerts.com.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

or mid-way between the two (trail centres), stay in Cardiff ... St Davids Hotel
your good lady can lunch and shop, you can go and play

Oh...don't know about the costs either...but not cheap I suspect.
Riding buddy has a hotel in the centre of Cardiff by the station...Sleeperz.
Its not a Spa hotel, just a nice hotel for your room etc...go to a spa elsewhere?

When are you thinking of coming down to Wales then? There's always the hotel on the main road into Swansea, it's meant to be really good, restaurant, gym, club, bar, spa etc ... but you'll have to wait til tomorrow til I can tell you the name of it!! (Think it's called the Village btw), I drive past it almost every day ... and I never take any notice!! Lol!!

Probably coming at the end of the month....and would like to avoid the urban sprawls if possible.

Could stay with my Uncle in Trebanos I suppose.....would be cheaper ..
