porsche bike

For those who have the car and want the matching bike on the car rack.

OR its for those who can't own a Porsche but want to own some thing with the Porsche badge on other than a bag

Car people stick to cars and leave the bikes to the bike people

But they aren't promoting cycling. All they are doing is making a brand -conscious garage queen for the man who has everything.

Agree 100% with 'hamster'.

Which ever company made that for them should put their own badge on it.
Could have been made in China and cost a tenner to make and Porsche will sell for ££££

Mercedes AMPs and Mini Cooper Dahons neither help nor hurt cycling on whole but VW selling cars with Gary Fishers did some good for the Gary Fisher brand even if just for getting the name out in all those ads from 97-99.
As for the Porsche bike I've actually ridden this one and its mediocre at best. The components, Crank Bros and XTR, are nothing to scoff at but the frame leaves lots to the imagination. It's definitely a cheap squishy carbon frame, lots of flex around the thin bb section and way too much slope in the to tube. All in all I'd never buy one but those wheels make just about anything pretty enough to tempt.
