So is that what it's all about then?

This has descended from do you or don't you with a bit of a playful poke to the usual over the top snide exclusionary vitriol.

Shame really. Imagine looking at this from the outside. Would you join?

Quite, although in fairness from the outside it just looks like a bunch of middle aged men being grumpy (verging on angry) about lycra, quite amusing and probably wouldn't put me off joining this site. However might make me a little more self-conscious next time I dress up like Bradley Wiggins.

Isn't lycra what used to identify real cyclists, before everyone was a real cyclist.

P.s I rarely wear lycra, and I don't think late 30s counts as middle aged

Re: Lycra garbed pratts

I wear lycra, I don't commute (as yet) I have done in the past I get passed by near everyone do I care no, I ride my bikes and try to respect the rules of the road/ Trail and most importantly enjoy my bike, it's not about what you wear its about the attitude you ride with. My brother does a 20mile round commute he wears his cycling shorts underneath what ever he feels like wearing. So pratts in lycra ? no more like pratts on bikes is the issue

Re:

My biggest "middle aged" fears about Lycra is... looking like a poorly formed dayglo bratwurst with an adult diaper installed...

Happy New Year: Mike :D

Re: Lycra garbed pratts

I think with the right accessories, it looks ok
