Polishing

Start with the grit that will remove all imperfections , make sure the surface is uniform then move to the next grit and then the next etc .

These are dx pedals that a guy on a vintage bmx forum polished

People seem to say polished when they are really just cleaning the surface ; do you want polished or just shiny ?

I never bother going through that much effort , I ride all my bikes and it would wind me up spending all the time to make something that nice and it ends up with a load of gritty mud all over it  I rarely go any finer than 240 , just take all the scrapes and gouges out and shine from there , from what I remember about those pedals he didn't go any more than 600 and wet polished from there .

Whilst those pedals are awesome, it does beg the question why!

As P says, you wouldnt want to use stuff

Thats one of the thing that bugged me about my old Zaskar and all its M900 stuff.....I cleaned it, polished it and then hated getting it dirty, to the point where I hardly rode it
