poke in the eye for users of coppa slip and other anti-seize

So Loctite s just as good, although not actually better. But a litre of compound costs a fiver, whereas a tiny bottle of Loctite doesn't cost much less.

So no added benefit, and it costs a bomb. Not the most compelling argument.

hmm they all have there relevant applications. Personally I go for

grease: for things that are meant to move

Anti seize: for things you may want to remove

loctite: for things you don't want to fall off

Personally i use copper grease for threads and regular grease for seatposts, stems etc

i'd consider loctite if i wasnt someone who regularly checked his bolts.

So I should cover myself in Loctite before rides to lessen the chance of falling off (which I do a lot)?

I'm assuming his stuff is never on the bike for more than a race season/6 months

The whole High load/temperature thing is valid - as long as you don't get say a ti fastener in an aluminum thread ooh wet and dirty then dry then wet and dirty say for 18 months and then want to undo it . Let alone 10 or 15 years later!

Grease and coppaslip in abundance for me and threadlock sparingly!
