PM issues and errors

PM's have gone now, (not sure if all though).
Past couple days site has been very laggy for me and not long ago had critical error: could not connect to database.

Laggy indeed. Had real issues the last half hour. Pages would partly load, then I'd get a "can't connect" error.

Sounds like we've all been sending too many PMs and tipped the total number over teh max value for and unsigned bigint... although if that's a 32 bit integer then that would be 4,294,967,296... which would seem unlikely. More so if it were a 64 bit integer. Anyway, not adding value here so shutting up.

Any bright ideas I'm keen to here. I started on that line of thought also...

There is a permenant fix in the pipeline. I'm still not really sure on what the issue is, if I can fix it quickly, great. If not it will be fixed at some point, sorry to those affected but it does seem a relatively small number...

back to normal now, a brief period of almost lockup lag, and causing double posts, but clear now.

cyfa, looks like you're issue is slightly different (or special if you will ).

Can you give it another go anyhow
