hell im going to give firefox a try, heard good things about it. does it take long to get used to the changes?

What, the not crashing and not getting viruses you mean, doesn't take long at all to get used to that

new versions of windows 7 are available with out internet explorer installed as so many people now use firefox or google chrome.i havent used internet explorer for years now and hate it when i have to.1st think i do to familys pc's is install firefox

this sounds proper retarded, but can anyone explain in simple terms how to change it over, never done it before and heard it can casue compatibility issues?

Install, at the end of the install process it asks if you want to make Firefox your default internet browser, to which you say yes and it will also ask if you want to import your settings from Internet Explorer, such as bookmarks, home page etc, and that bit is up to you.

That's it

Internet Explorer is still there and you can still use it should you wish to, there is also 0.01% of websites that aren't Firefox compatible, in which case just open IE, and your windows updated will still work through IE.
