No idea but if they did start charging the $59 that PB are asking, for Flickr I would most likely pay it as I think it is worth it. For free they give you 1TB of space and fast loading.
What are the real alternatives that don't take forever to load or get bombarded with ads ?

As I have had THAT e-mail from photobucket, I'm now using my dropbox account to host photo's too, I'm also going to try out Google.

I use PB and pay about £30 a year to host my images, currently running at about 18,000 or 50 Gb
