Recent studies have suggested that as many as 12 million people in the UK do not have pension provision and many more have inadequate savings to cover retirement.

So, out of us big spending retrobikers, who has provision and who doesnt?

The low rate of interest is definitely hitting savers hard and borrowers continue to get squeezed by high rates due to the LIBOR. I doubt the recent VAT rise and austerity measures will help savers very much either.

A bit fat HMPT for savers AND borrowers atm.

chances are if you don't have enough pension provision you are unaware of it...

I've contributed to an NHS pension since 1997 and intend staying in the NHS for this reason primarily.

I work for the richest local council in the uk , so hopefully my pension is safe .

I actually can't believe that pension schemes are legal. The state one, at least, is a giant Ponzi scheme with present pensioners being paid from teh contributions of current workers and current workers having to hope that there will be sufficient contributers when we reach pensionable age.

I try not to think about it, 'cos if I do, I get worried.

My parents drummed it into me when I started work.

So yes, I have a pension and a few savings.

I may not have a flashy retirement, but I hope to be comfortable.

Fingers crossed my business grows so I wont have to work by the time I reach 40 then I will still be young enough to enjoy the money I make!

Ive paid in 11% of my salary a month for 20 years and have just under 10 to go.......

I hope they leave the Fire Brigade's pension alone
