Pedal Trouble

Hello all,
I'm looking to get new pedals for my 1998 Specialized Rockhopper and I wonder if anyone knows what pedals will fit the bike. I'm unsure how sizing works.

Pedals for bikes are generally the same size when it comes to the thread. There are differences though, but tend to be for bmx.

Hi, any 9/16" pedal will fit, bmx pedals are usually 1/2"
