Pedal Cone Nut

Pogo

Retrobike Rider
I'm servicing some cheap VP pedals off a skip find,
one of the cone nuts was chewed to pieces and so I tried my LBS and internet for a replacement, however it seems they are rare as hens teeth.

Anyone got a spare or know where I can get a replacement?

Tricksy little blighter, any idea where a replacement can be had?

i'm going to fire this off to my local LBS, he's got a healthy stock of odds and sods.
he should get back to me within this week. i've also got a set of BMX pedals that i dont mind taking apart to see if they have any, but i think they have thinner axles. i'll let you know this week as well - i've caught myself a nasty bug so may take me a couple of days to get out to the garage!!

EDIT: also, there is a nut and bolt store here in brighton, although i don't hold much hope for them knowing. worth a shot though eh :)

Righto here you go...

Externally 12 mm, the axle it fits looks like an M5
and the bearings it runs are 1/8".

hi! sorry i haven't got back till now! i've asked at my LBS, he doesn't reckon he has the spare, but he said if i fire over some more images of the pedals he may be able to help find a set of pedals that may contain the paet you are looking for. i'll dig out those pedals of mine tomorrow and see if i can pull anything useful out of them :)
i can send these measurements too and see what he can come up with...

Absolutely no problem at all, I'll post a piccie tomorrow of the pedals.
They came off a Dawes Galaxy and they are rough, I can just about see the VP logo but I'll get as good a shot as I can :?
