Has anyone had experience with parcels being lost in transit? Did a search here but doesn't seem to happen. Sent some parts to France last week (collected Wed 17th late afternoon, so 6 full days ago, 4 of which open) - is it too early to start worrying (site mentioned 3 days)?. Used Parcel2go who used DHL.
What I sent - Sunn ti frame, King HS, Carbon forks, NOS '98 Sids - sale price €900+. Took the insurance but only up to £500 as it was getting expensive.
The recipient is my best mate so no risk of him lying about not having received the parcel. I rang Parcel2go which said that they cannot track the parcel as it has not been scanned (?!?). They have sent me a claim form by email. Need to send proof of value (ie ebay receipt etc). Sunn frame and forks I've had for the best part of 10 years, bought from friend, Sids bought here on RB - so no receipts for anything. All I can do is print some pages from the web of similar items having been sold, I have the feeling this is not going to cut it though.
Any word of advice much appreciated! Thanks
