Pantographing ... when, who & how?

Certainly in my era (the 70's) it was the framebuilder (Colnago for example) that would panto the frame, cutout the lugs and then panto the equipment from Campag etc. Campag themselves never did anything more than a few flutes and holes.

They even had special pantografia models (way over the top IMHO)

I can see it makes sense that the various frame builders would have pantographed groupsets & stems to be used with their frames.

Who would have pantographed stems with Campagnolo logos?
 
pantgraphing was indeed just copying (a wooden "master") , with today's tech it would just be CNCed surely but as the components are so thin walled laser etching would be MUCH safer than "routing" now
