Pace RC36 evo damper cartridge...self service?

Evening,

Look like I have knacked the damping on my rc36 evo's ( again....)

How difficult is it to repair myself?

Also, is the tool to access the oil chamber available anywhere else apart from pace?

If anyone has any experience of repairing these forks, could you give me some, or point me in the direction of some instructions?

Thanks

Marcus

Same here.

I do quite a bit of fork and damper service myself, but for some reason never touched the damper on my Pace RC36 or RC40. I have cleaned and greased them, changed springs and wipers but not opened the damper unit itself. And it is about tiem I changed the oil again before mounting it to the Explosif and go riding it in anger again.

Anyone here done it and care to share experiences?

Hello-someones trying to do me out of a job

The tool to undo the compression housing[assuming the fork is a '98 RC36 Evo] is not available from Pace....er...and never was

You can use a pair of circlip pliers in the little holes to remove the housing; there is a seal on it that will be knackered and will need replacing[seal kit available from me  ].

From then on to remove the cartridge it gets a bit more tricky; pm me for the next installment
cheers!
