Pace rc300 project about to start !

ok here goes, this is a photo of the billet Ive got to replace my headtube. My friend is going to machine it down for me next saturday nah it wont let me choose any files to upload Is it because I am on an ipad ?

hi there people ! wow loads of replies ! I will try and work out how to put photos up later on today. I have been looking at some of your builds over the past few months, many thanks for your inspiration I have been scouring the world (not exagerating) for a piece of 7020 t6 tube to rebuild the rc300 frame. I was told by everyone "nah you dont want that grade, 6086 will do" But Adrian (AC) told me that it had to be that grade, so who was I to argue with the Man who designed it ! Anyway, after 4 months of searching I have got myself a billet of 7020 t6 and its getting machined into shape next saturday ! Ive made a jig at work to keep all the tubes in posittion before we cut the old head tube off so realignment shall be sweet ! I'm off to go out on my Pace 29er now and will return with some photos so far for you to look at !

Wow, hats off to you sir, replacing the headtube is what I wanted to originally do to mine but after numerous emails back and forth to Adrian & Spondon engineering I was told that it wasn't possible and the only way was to repair what was already there. Unfortunately I don't have the resources or skill to make a jig to attempt what you are going to do so I can't wait to see your repair & build photos. how much did the Alu cost you?

Regards to photos I've found the easiest way is to upload them to Flickr or Photobucket (or any picture hosting site) and then use the IMG button to add the photos to your thread, when choosing which picture dimension to use from the hosing site best to keep them under 800x600

Pace fork question

Hi, i'm new to this site and i was wondering if anyone has succesfully fitted springs into a pair of Pace RC35 MD forks and made them work well!
I really hope you guys can help!

if not a good person to know especially for Pace forks is a member called justbackdated or Tim as he's known and his company Fork English

Tims an ex pace employee who knows just about everything pace related in partucular ..forks. The service is good and cheaper than Pace themselves.

well i hope you should be ables to see my photo link above, just click on it and you will see my 7020 t6 head tube ready for work to commence !
The rc300 frame is a 19 inch and i am going to try and make it a nice light build. I have some rc31 forks to carry the carbon theme and putting some other carbon parts (seatpost, bars) Ive also got a pace stem in silver

all i did was remove the img and url and replaced it with the http//: at the beginning so probably did you copy the link and then insert it into the img/url? if so you didn't need to
