I’m 5.11 so I’m guessing too small. Which was my thoughts from looking at pics too

No, this should be your size.

Back on the game then ..... it looks small though. Let me know details once you’ve found them out OP.
Will do mate, I'm going round tomorrow to get it in the daylight & take some pics & find out as much about it as he can remember! I've not seen it before either, I've known him for about 25 years & I didn't know he had it!...

Re: PACE

One of those frames like Marin and GT, and comes down to how you like you bikes, some prefer the bigger feeling size and longer top tubes and some the smaller stand over height.

Re: PACE

Yeah I'm just under 5'10" and ride a lot larger than this 19"/20" normally (to fit my legs), 18" are too small.

A normal 5'10" would be 18 to 19" and this looks much smaller at 16.5" smallest they made ?

Grab the frame number, it tells you what model it is.

Re: PACE

Yes looks like the 16" frame. They have long top tubes, the 16 is around 22"+ from memory. Im 5,10" and my 17/18" frames are around 21.75" top tubes so personally i would go for the 16" Pace for the standover. Of course everyone has different proportions and prefrences so you really need to get the actual measurements and compare to one of your own bikes your happy with already.

Re:

Just to help anyone else looking at this. I contacted the seller (thanks OP for providing a contact) and he is looking at around £800 or offers near.

I’ve obviously ducked out of this one as personally I wouldn’t value the parts at anything so far too expensive for me considering what spec the £800 ones have when they sell.

I’ll continue to wait for that full XTR spec,d , rc36 pro class full bike for £500 lol.

:) i was thinking more around the £600 mark.

If the seller removed the rear mudguard, the saddle bag and bottle cage, and also raised the seatpost up, it would look a bit more appealing in my opinion. Also think if it was stripped, the frame and fork would probably make that on their own due to size and colour 8)

Re:

£600 would still be rich in my opinion unless you are desperate for that particular combo Of size and colour

It’s certainly a nice frame but far too expensive with that spec of bits.

I’d agree with the person who said that the frame alone could fetch more than the full bike of postage offered. But still not £800

I’ll get one at some point but it’s about the right bike and the right money as I’m in no rush.

Re:

Yeah I did tell him it was way overpriced at £800, I really don't know where he got that figure from, he's not a really a bike person just something he bought 25 years ago...

I even offered to do this as well & strip it & sell the frame & forks!

I'm wondering which is more heinous; an Altus rear mech on a PACE, or XTR on an Apollo Slant?

The former rather than the latter. It hurts my soul seeing that PACE where-as the Apollo would make me chuckle
