Ottadini Reynolds 531

Ah, that nice little road from Baslow to Hassop. I know it well!

Beautiful looking bike. What's the compact chainset you have on there? It fits well with the overall look, but obviously is nice and practical for the hills, too..

Thread resurrection on the subject of who potentiality built this frame.....a frame maker called Martin Evans, of Martrac Cycles in Middlesbrough also made frames for Ottadini during the 80s. He was 753 certified and made the Martrac bike on which Paul Curran won gold at the Commonwealth Games.

I recall a range of frames in the shop from 731 up to 753 in Reynolds and also various Columbus frames too.
Looking at the pictures, it is interesting to see the Cinelli bottom shell and also the shallow swept forlkes that were on a lot of the Columbus tubes frames. Is it definately Reynolds 531 ?
I still have my bike, which was rebuilt by Pedalsport on two occasions after I trashed it in accidents.
It has done many miles, but not so many recently..
