OT: SKY!

Hello folks,

Just moved into a new house on a temporary basis and need YOUR help!

The area is a total blackspot for all things TV related (read channels 1 - 4 viewed through snow :roll: )

The area is a conservation area and I cannot change the areial but I can use the hidden ( :shock: ) Sky Dish!

I have absolutley no want to sign up to Sky as this is only on a temp basis.

However after a talk with a friendly Sky engineer if I could get a Sky digital box I could get a Freeview card for £20 - Bargain

So please are you able to help - do you have a box you upgraded from that you know do not use?

If so please, please, please let me know!

Bit of a divert but anyway

You can get usb freeview recievers for your computer. Don't think they cost a fortune (>£50 ?).

I used to have from about 4 years ago, moved house a year and a half ago and can't remember if I chucked it or if it's in the loft, I'll take a look for you but it will probably be at the weekend at the earliest.

If I do have it, it's yours for the postage.

I've got a sky+ box with no hdd- so you can't record on it! but it does have the card with it so you may get the freeview stuff anyway. £20 posted and when youv'e finished with it whack it on the bay and get your money back at least.
