O heck, I had another one of those press the BIN button moments and landed another bike which Doesnt quite fit. In a split second I saw this and thought "tagalong mule"...buy buy buy then moments later after looking at some sizing charts thought "oh bugger"
So thought it might as well be popped on here before I feed it back to the ebay monster.

So..19" Orange p7 with modern orange rigid fork.
Has an s8 headset
original orange bar/stem
full xt group with the exception of a random front hub and an avid mechanical disc.
Brand new maxxis kevlar tyres.
Ive just found a better saddle for this which has longer rails giving a far better seating position....Its in a fetching orange colour too!

Heres the tricky bits....The fork is too modern i.e too long for the frame so it has interesting easy rider type handling, the right hand shifter sometimes does not click into gear*EDIT, I HAVE GIVEN THE SHIFTER A SPOT OF LOVE AND LUBRICATION TODAY AND IT HAS BEEN BEHAVING JUST FINE SINCE, JUST DRY INTERNALS BY THE LOOK OF IT. The b/b has a tiny weeny bit of play, it is not noticeable in use and does not affect the shifting in the slightest.
Aside from the above points it is all pretty tidy and functions well, Probably best suited to somebody with a nice short fork sat in their cupboard.
If it is collected it can be had for £180. I still have the orange/brick coloured wildgripper tyres which can go with it if they are wanted, I can fit a new shimano b/b for £12 if required.

Thanks
SOLD

Would you split this?

Or, swap the chainset for my Suntour XC square taper 5-bolt one?

My middle ring has worn, so I'm looking for a new chainset only...

I'll buy the chainset (minus BB) from you, and post you mine in return.

PM me if interested, reply back here if not :)

I gave the righthand shifter a spot of lubrication and it seems to engage every time now, well it certainly did on the 1/2 hour ride I did on it afterwards. Dry hammer syndrome I think they call it!

Flush it silly with a good cleaning agent as the Shimano grease thickens and buggers up the ratchet mechanism. Once flushed use something thicker like 3in1 - much maligned but perfect for these internals.
