Hi, I need the help of the Orange Guru`s to identify this bike that I bought at a boot fair today.
It is stickered up as an Orange but does not show which model it is.
I`m not 100% sure that it is a genuine Orange bike but for £15 I`m not really bothered,it will build up into a nice looking bike whatever it is.
It was fitted with cheap chrome steel forks and cheap shimano 7 speed groupo parts and the saddle was tied to the top tube
Vital Statistics are as follows.....
Seat tube C to C =16"
Seat tube C to T =18"
Seat Tube O/D 34.9mm
Seat Tube I/D 30.2mm (Seat post)
Top Tube C to C 21.5"
Top Tube O/D 39mm (Entire length)
Head Tube 135mm x 1 1/8th
Bottom Bracket 68mm
Seat Stays O/D 19mm (Not tapered) with chain hanger.
Down Tube O/D 49mm (Middle)
Down Tube Swaged to 44.4mm x 53.8mm (At head tube)
Down Tube Swaged to 44mm x 54mm (At bottom bracket)
Chain Stays 31mm x 19mm (Not tapered but crimped for tyre and chainset clearance)
Chain Stays length 16.5"
Cable stops welded on top of top tube
Rear gear stops pop rivetted to under side of seat stay
Front gear stop welded to seat tube
Drop out stamped "56 deg" on inside
Replaceable gear hanger marked "Everest"
Stickers over lacquer
No frame number under bottom bracket.Never been stamped. Not been filed and filled.
Can a guru please put me out of my misery ?
Is it a "Aluminium O" or "Elite" ?
