Now i was and have never been one to say remakes of films should never happen Karate Kid was not my Karate kid but had i never seen the original i would have lo9ved it all the more and so glad that Chan never attempted to be a Mr Miyagi, The A Team was not so much a remake but a belated film that should have been made years ago when the full cast was alive and refused to watch the film Clash of the Titans i liked and again liked as was the new Star Trek.

But

Today i read they are looking at remaking Total Recall with Colin Farrell playing Douglas Quaid this should not happen its one remake to far i reckon its a cult classic and should be left alone even with the hot Jessica Biel in a lead role

.

I thought the same about the Tron remake, but due to massive advances in computer graphics I thought it was better than the original
Remaking any of the 'arnie' films without the big man seems a bit pointless

GOOOOO RUN GET TO THE CHOPPER!!!!!!!!!

yep agreed, my very first thought
arnie films dont need to be remade

hollywood - really running out of original ideas now!

I think it could do with a remake, jsut to be contrary. As good as the first one is, I've never been a huge fan of Verhoevan and felt he handled it too lightly. I think its a fantastic SF concept and could take a much darker, deeper rendering.

I doubt Farrel and Biel can deliver that though.

"See you at the party Richter"

The Italian Job stands out for me as a completely inferior remake of modern times, something that had potential but missed by a mile.

Predicting that Arthur will be crap an all, no way Bland can match the genius of Moore.

I would like to see something like the Deer Hunter being tackled. But set in the Balkans, with Wim Wenders at the helm.

remakes that suck! gone in sixty seconds...vinny jones and nickolarse cage and the all time greatest remake made for the americans, get carter with sly stalone, rewritten with a happy ending :?
oh and the classic mean machine/the longest yard, again vinny jones and the us version with adam saddler wrong on both accounts :(

they should stick up a list of films that should never be remade, no matter how much money or how many so called big named actors tor special effects they stick in them, some things should left untouched
