Here is the very reluctant sale of my Manitou FS.

Firstly apologies for the rubbish photos taken on my iphone. The photos certainly do not do this frame justice at all. The frame is like no other, especially the 'work of art' rear subframe / suspension.

The frame comes complete with:

Original matched front forks
Original seat collar
2 x Gorilla brake boosters (VGC)
Bottom bracket (exc cond)
Ringle seat post (exc cond) NOT IN PHOTOS BUT MINT
Ringle bottle cage (VGC)
Answer ATAC stem (VGC)
Chris King headset (exc cond)
XT front mech with special Tioga clamp (both VGC)

Size is 16" although I wouldn't say this is small, more like a medium. It has had two aluminium collars made to strengthen the front head tube. They've been done so well they look like they came on the original bike. Underneath is a very small crack (like all FS'). This is not a problem though.

Like an idiot I totally overspent over xmas therefore this must go. I'm looking for £495 delivered in the UK. I have many more images so if you're really interested send me your email address and I'll get them over to you. I will make sure the frame is packaged very well. Sorry, no overseas posting. If I don't get what I'm after I'll keep it and let another toy go.

In my opinion this is one of the best looking bikes ever made. I hope you think so too!

Has it ever been built up more than currently shown since Doug sold it?!

Build

I built the bike up using Cook Bros chainset, XT M739 groupo, Ralf Satellites, USE bars, Flite seat, etc. Very light and stunning to look at. Didn't put the pics on otherwise people would think they're getting the whole bike!!!

If I don't sell it the Hei Hei will have to go instead. Love both bikes!!!

Are you sure it's the same bike????? I'm not so sure, unless you sold the frame totally (and I mean totally!) stripped? Lovely bike in any case!!!

What happened to the headtube? Looks like it is not original?

yeah its the same bike fella, the guy i sold it to changed a few bits. mainly removing the Manitou 1 crown for the correct manitou 2 crown.

main reason why, head-tube repair was done buy my father. @ the down tube has marks from the crud catcher front mud guard, Tis why i fitted Easton decals. also the seat post has a ringle decal fitted on it, this is a retrofit buy me. they never come with this.

i did regret selling it, but i had to buy a house , lol

Hei Hei is 17". Full xtr, Thomson and lots of ti!!!!!

I don't want to sell either (at all!!!!) but the finances don't allow me to keep both!
