Wanted Mavic Wheels (max, ride, link etc) or others

I've seen people in the US asking twice what the Crossrides sold for new, for 20yo used wheels.
But the Crossmax have always been expensive.

Luck of the drawer I think. I've had crossrides for 60 - 80 quid. My crossmaxs cost me 120 and 140 (on other bikes) and I picked up a decent set of mk1s for 110 last year. Those went on a mates bike and I'm now regretting putting them on it

I'm not sure the Crossrides were ever very popular here. Not strong enough for the headbangers, and not light enough for the racers. Nice for street riding. But that's not popular here either, and skinny 700c is where those riders are. I'd like to have a spare set. But not in black.
