Finally getting round to posting my late 60s/early 70s Elvish 531.
I’d love to say that it was lovingly restored or rebuilt by me but it wasn’t as I bought it off a great bloke called Col from Wigan a couple of years back.
He did a fab job and was a bit worried it might get split up again for parts but no way was that happening.
I can find very little about them save for an interesting thread on here and a few odds and ends on the internet about the bikes themselves and about Victor Fontan who was sponsored by Elvish in the 20s.
Anyway, it’s a lovely bike and lovely to ride (especially now it has more suitably chunky tires on it).
