Can you check for word DURALUMINUM as per these Bob ?You've nailed it Philjust been to the garage to check. There's a couple of tiny differences, as the above are repops I would expect that.
Do it , pre 1952 if you want a "proper" Claud Butler. I've had a couple of Clauds and they all ride well. Brane's is quite a rare model.
It stayed back,so we need to get you and Jo passport and put you on a silver bird...together with Claud (BA takes bike as a part of your luggage)
Where's it engraved?
I can see it in the centre of the pedal axle, see pic above, engraving is partly obscured by the strap, but can read DURA...
Yes the new ones look turned, mine are flat. Edit, I've seen nothing closer than these, so am fairly comfortable Phil has found them
