It's a strange colour, I'll need to thoroughly degrease the frame, than a careful oxyallic acid bath overnight. The steerer tube will give us the original colour hopefully.-----

t'is obvious from OP's images that headset is an Alatet but pictures do not give close view of upper stack
find meself a'wonderin' if it be the Thomas D. Cross & Sons Ltd edition or the Brampton Bros.
will be interested to hear when you have had opportunity to examine

I'm very pleased you got this GIGFY!! I'm really looking forward to seeing this one!
Plus, as a bonus, I found out the name of the headset on an old Holdsworth La Quelda that is sat in my resto queue!! It's the same as this Alatet.

Thanks Phil, nice of you to say so. Claud is a beautiful bike. I can't save the saddle sadly. But! Seat post and stem are not seized
The Brampton version I believe. The TDCross version is not as ornate from memory @juvela will know for sure
