Just an update to the front end.

After comments about using an ahead set-up, i've managed to source a nos deore dx headset......so its now a complete groupset

just waiting a reply from tim(justbackdated) as to a 1" threaded steerer and then hopefully a nos syncros cattleprod stem from (treacle)

Well, headset now arrived from france-(thanks kiwideturin )

Its been fitted this week and really does look alot better than the ahead set-up.
Also thanks to tim( justbackdated) for sorting the threaded steerer.

Now the worst part.....finding a 1" quill stem :cry:
having no luck at the mo :roll:

Fantastic respray and the colour looks really bright.
I've got an early 1" Syncros Cattleprod in black (with noodle) that I'd be prepared to sell but it's 150mm long. Let me know if you want pics.

all the parts are now on,just needs the cables cut and capped

also,looking for some odi grips with closed ends...any ideas where to find some??

well its now ridable!! only 98% finished as ive yet to fit some odi attack grips-which is why there's no bungs in the end of the bars as these cover them up-and also looking to fit a syncros cattleprod stem which i think would finish this off rather nicely.

took it for a quick spin up the road and its just like been taken back to the days when i had my first clockwork

Very nice best clock work iv'e seen in years top job matey, i think that stem you have looks really nice goes with the seatpost black top half the other stem mite look to over the top
