Hi Malc

Are you thinking about Vitus 980 ?

Way back ( 1979-83) when I was leaving cycling and trying to get a job /house / life, Vitus seemed to have got their act together and sorted out some nice tubesets :D the 980 was the 531 copy IIRC but they did some which rivalled Reynolds / Columbus /Oria but for some reason came badged as Peugeot /Gitane.. classy all the same :)

Thanks Shaun

I'll post some photos later
I'm sure it is triple butted.
Just finished restoring it for my winter ride.

Hi Malc

It has fastback / shot in stays :) always a winner as it's never a cheap option, plus the chrome. Seems to have a steeper head tube than the seat tube, always nice for a light bike :)

It's after my time but classy :) Gitane made some nice frames, as did Motobecane even when they called themselves MBK.

I love SWB bikes as they dance rather than being an armchair :)
