FYI it's a shade later than 1990, more like '92 in case that matters at all.

How do you know, is it the paint scheme?
Is the original ’91 version dark grey with blue swinging arm and flexstem?

Think that was the alloy front end. This is cro mo front and rear.

Yep the original 550 was dark grey and blue, but it’s the rear cantilever position that gives it away. They were mounted on the seat stays for the earliest models, then moved to the chainstays post ‘91.

Only the 750, and 950 were Ali, the 550 was cro mo front and rear as you say, and the Ltd was Tange Prestige.

Pro-Flex confuse the issue with the 550/750/950 by using ‘0’ at the end, which in later years was the number that changed with each year model, so everyone thinks they were the 1990 models. But that concept didn’t start properly until 93 I believe.
