Set Menu: Game platter - including Crocodile, Frikkadel

Bet in tastes like chicken

ive had gator tail, it is a little chicken like to be honest. A bit nicer though - juicier and more succulent - could be down to the cooking.

Frikadell is probably some kind of meat ball. Danish frikadeller is minced pork/onion/egg/flour/seasoning fried meatballs.

I had some croc steaks with the boys on one of our "Dad and sons" evenings when squeamish mum was at work. Found it to be like a mixture of chicken and tuna. Bit like sharkmeat even.


Ostrich and springbok is more tasty if you want to try weird african meats.

Croc was ok, and it does taste like tough chicken.

I had Ostrich, springbok and something else beginning with T which tasted like lamb. All nice. MD sprung a challenge on two of the guys, they both failed and had to eat some weird things instead, Giant African ant, dung beetle and a scorpion... nice! :shock:

i had croc ad a walkabout, at another one i had kangaroo, croc, was nothing special, the kangaroo, had a strong flavour

Yes Kangaroo steak is nice, I need to draw up that list of all the animals I have eaten Roast lamb is still the best though.
