Odd query re luggage

I rather like this from Carradice.

This is the long flap version and if necessary can carry large bulky loads by opening out the top flap by half as much again.
This one sits on a small support clamped to the rear stays. Lots of handy side pockets and space.
 
Like Spokesmann, I use a Carradice (a Nelson I think) for my commute. Mine comes off every morning and goes back on again for the ride home, and although the buckles look fiddly it only takes a few seconds to do. It gets covered in mud and filthy water (as I ride off road for part of my commute) but it is still in good shape after four years. You can use it without a rack or plonk it on top of one if you really want to load it up. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
