'O' rings for wheel QR

I've a nice set of cook bros wheel QR that I've been trying to find replacement O rings to go on the nut (Like this - hope you don't mind Neill, I've borrowed a pic of your seat QR thats for sale - http://www.pooterland.com/retromtb/dscf1286.jpg )
Thing is every plumbers / DIY store I have been to doesn't have O rings that are wide enough. Does anyone know an online supplier? Or even the correct size for these, I'm guessing around 3/16" thick and 1/2" internal diameter.
Also does anyone know whether 'O' rings are sized internally or externally?

If it's any help I can probably roll it off and vernier the little bastid for you?

heh I've just pm'd you a request to see if you wouldn't mind doing just that - only I wouldn't want you to roll it off in case the sucka breaks, just a rough estimate of width and external diameter as it sits in place would be really helpful.

I'll roll one off the one's I have on my Pace, don't care if they break

They are probably imperial, whereas we'll all be on metric. I have the same problem on a Raceface Real Seal threadad headset - I think the clamping allen bolt is also imperial - anyone know?
