No its not a Porn Star, I can remember an article in MBA [must be about 88] about Swallow cycles producing a bike ,beautiful violet and white paint job with a campag groupset . I am certain it was tested in Lanzarote or somewhere similair. Sure it was called the griffin or griffon
Or is it just me?

Dr Bond (on this site) found the guy that made them. We were going to do something along those lines. Might get back on with that.

Thanks hugely, It always stuck in my mind as a gorgeous bike. But nobody else seemed to have heard of it . I can relax now

Yep, one of my all time faves. Haven't seen one since the early nineties. If funds and other projects permitted, I'd have one made.

Pete Bird who was behind Swallow was helpful about the construction, geometry etc and was stoked to get Wu's MBUK scans.

There is a chap with one on here somewhere, not a Griffon but a custom pink one.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'd love to find out more about this bike, as I'd love to get one made one day - I was thinking about a hard-tail version with Pace RC35s, too...
