Nuke proof are back...

So, back from the dead are SRP, Syncros, Nuke Proof, Control Tech. Whats happening? None of it seems exciting stuff though, not the CNC wonders and ground breaking designs anymore. Just standard generic stuff. Shame because the new buyers think that all Nuke proof or Syncros is is this boring looking stuff, its such a shame.

Can't understand either, can't rely on heritage as most of the kids buying won't remember from the first time around, bit like asking a 16 year old what a Mini or a Beetle are.

That said, they are nice names, Nuke Proof being the best of the lot - just says hardcore bombproof, just what these freeriding yuffs want!

it's the modern way.......cash in on a well known retro name......I mean, the first thing the new Nuke Proof launched where springs for rear shocks :? .....what's that all about?

it isn't nuke proof the original guys, chain reaction/hotlines/ mtb distribution have recently liscensed the name and are producing far eastern products under the name. devalues it i think. :(

The funny thing is that a good many of these companies made junk back then too! And now they're back?! Kooka? Nuke Proof? Please, let the dead dogs stay dead I say.

I do agree wiht the devaluation of some brands, like Syncros, for example. Their current junk is a shadow of their original line. Too bad. Long live the "Power Zit!"

Nuke Proof and Kooka produced some really nice gear. Kooka made an especially nice crank that had multicolour anodising and the Nuke Proof carbon bombshell hubs were really nice (I had one when NTI were the importers).
